Updated HairMax Laser Comb Review Reveals How It Works

First, let’s look at how the HairMax Laser Comb works, (or in theory – is supposed to work.)

The Hairmax hair laser comb uses low level laser light as a therapy to stop hair loss. The device emits single beams of light (low level laser light) aimed at the scalp and hair follicles. This type of light gives the cells in the hair follicles the boost they need through increasing the blood supply. When the low level light therapy is regularly used as directed (3 times a week – 15 to 20 minutes), the hair follicles should begin to refresh and become more healthy.

I also found that google says there are almost 6000 webpages that mention the keyword phrase “Hairmax Laser Comb Review.” The type of review sites I was looking for were ones where Actual users gave their opinion of the product — not where a blog poster decided to write a review.

Amazon actually contained the most consumer reviews, followed by drugstore.com with 13. ePinions did not contain any reviews — they only contained links to where you buy the product! There were a few other websites that contained actual consumer reviews of the HairMax, like Grey Hair Loss.

This HairMax Laser Comb Review Update Summarizes Actual User Reviews

We will summarize the Hairmax Laser Comb reviews from Amazon, Drugstore .com …

HairMax Laser Comb Reviews by Consumers Average Results

Of the 42 Reviews on Amazon it looks like 11 gave it 5 stars, and 11 gave it 4 stars. The happy consumers all felt the HairMax Laser Comb did its job in either stopping hair loss and some even reported regrowth of hair. That is 50% of the users are very happy with the results of the HairMax Laser Comb.

The rest of the consumer reviews were broken down to 10 giving it a 1 star (25% of total reviews), with 8 giving it 3 stars and 2 giving it 2 stars. Most of the complaints from the 1 star group said it did not work at all. The 3 stars and 2 stars complaints involved it taking too much time, costing too much, etc. (although just about all of them said it made their hair prettier).

Of the 13 Reviews on Drugstore .com, 7 consumers gave it either a 4 or 5 star rating and 6 gave it a 1 rating. It is interesting in that the consumers reviewing the Hairmax Laser Comb on Drugstore .com either hated it or loved it!

In summary, it looks like you could have a 50/50 chance of the Hairmax Laser Comb helping your stop hair loss and re-grow hair — based on 3.5 years of consumer ratings and reviews.

Yet, this device is expensive, and there are other hair laser combs or laser brush that are less expensive that you may wish to try first to see if low level light therapy can help you stop hair loss and re-grow hair.

However, a hairmax laser comb may be the product that helps you re-grow your hair.

  • I am Leonard Stillman, Director of Professional Services at Lexington International, LLC, manufacturers of the HairMax LaserComb. This posting is to address comments contained in the posting and is not posted for commercial purposes.

We found the analysis in the posting to be well done and informative. As with any device or drug for hair growth, the HairMax will not work on all individuals and in the same way. That is why Lexington International offers a 20 week money back guarantee (less a 20% restocking charge) so that people who purchase the HairMax can return the device if they are not satisfied with results.

As far as which device to purchase, it is important to realize that the HairMax is the ONLY home use laser phototherapy device that has not only published proven results (www.pubmed.gov [Hairmax]), but also has FDA Class 2 Clearance for marketing for males with certain classes of hereditary hair loss. Along with this FDA Clearance, are very rigid manufacturing and quality standards that must be adhered to. NONE of the other home use laser phototherapy devices on the market have FDA clearance and many of them have unknown quality and even questionable manufacturing standards. In fact, many of these devices are manufactured from companies that only have a Post Office Box as an address and therefore may not be around for the long term.

Based on these facts, we believe that the choice of device should be obvious – the HairMax LaserComb is proven to work, has FDA Class 2 Clearance for males and has a money back guarantee. NO OTHER laser phototherapy device on the market for home use is able to make these claims. Lexington fully stands behind its product. Thank you Mr. Stillman for commenting on this HairMax Laser Comb Review — Revisited after 3.5 years.

I agree, the HairMax Laser Comb is an excellent choice for those who wish to try a hair laser for treatment. Especially since they do offer 20 weeks — almost 5 months of trying the HairMax. You should know by then if the HairMax will work for you.

I would also like to point out that just about every Actual consumer review I read online said the HairMax made their hair more beautiful and shiny.

    Again, thank you Mr. Stillman.
